Swami Savikalpananada Saraswati

Swami Savikalpa Saraswati studied nursing and midwifery at the Medical School of Belgrade as well as music at the Dr. Vojislav Vučković School of Music there. During this time, she became inspired by yoga, after attending a yoga seminar conducted by Swami Sivamurti in 1987. Her interest in yoga led her to Satyanandashram Hellas in Paiania, Greece, where she has resided since 1989. She completed her teacher training course under the supervision of Swami Sivamurti Saraswati in 1989 and was initiated in Poorna sannyasa by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati in 2005.

Her interest in teaching Mantra yoga (the application of sound and music), and Yoga for women (Yoga and perimenopause and menopause, pre and post-natal Yoga and Yoga and fertility). She has attended a variety of Yogic Lifestyle, and Sannyasin training courses over the last 20 years in Greece, including a number of Yogic studies courses and in services and currently organizes Yogic Lifestyle programs for foreign groups and the TD Sangha programs as well as conducting seminars and talks in Greece and abroad on a variety of topics. She has been co-teaching at Satyananda Yoga Academy Europe since 2018 and is a member of the Yoga Vidya council, Bihar School of Yoga, Munger India. She regularly connects with the source of the tradition in India by travelling to the ashrams in Munger and Rikhia and has recently completed the Progressive Yoga Vidya training courses I and II. Her interests also lie in kirtan and chanting and in the philanthropic arm of Satyanandashram Hellas, Satyananda Math – Amba, founded by Swami Sivamurti, of which she is currently president. She teaches in the Paiania ashram and the Satyananda Yoga meditation centers.

She is also member of the board of directors of the ashram and a member of the Hellenic Union of Teachers trained in the Satyananda system of yoga.
