Online seminar from Satyanandashram with Swami Kevalyananda

Language: English

Instructor: Swami Kevalyananda is an experienced instructor of the Satyananda System of Yoga with over thirty years of experience behind her.

There is so much suffering and negativity in the world, and the question constantly asked is, ‘What can make the world a better place to live in?’ Yoga’s answer to this is a change of attitude. How can negative attitudes be transformed into positive and constructive attitudes towards ourselves, others, situations, and life in general? The teachings of yoga and science say that keeping our emotions positive, keeps the heart beat coherent bringing, in turn, a state of optimal health and wellbeing.  In this seminar various ways of developing and cultivating the positive attitude of kindness will be presented and discussed.

Beneficence, benignity, bounty, charity, generosity, goodwill, humanity, kindness, liberality, munificence, philanthropy, sympathy, tenderness – these are synonymous with benevolence.

Benevolence is the disposition to do good and seek the wellbeing or comfort of others. It is an act of kindness and generosity. It is the desire to alleviate suffering, or to promote happiness. It is love to mankind and kindness of heart, or being charitable.

Swami Sivananda Saraswati
