Navaratri means the nine nights. Celebrated from ancient times, it occurs twice a year during the change of seasons in spring (Chaitra Navaratri) and in autumn (Ashwini Navaratri). At this time of transition, the cosmic energy assumes a certain balance which is especially conducive to spiritual practice. Navaratri is divided into three-day periods during which time we focus on the energies of the Universal Feminine energy in three forms: Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati with their specific qualities and gifts. The days culminate in the celebration of Dussehra or Vijayadashmi symbolizing the victory of the light over darkness and good over evil.
The program includes practical classes, lectures and discussions, with an emphasis on light diet, mantra chanting, pooja and havan. It is considered an auspicious time to renew one’s sadhana practice or receive a sadhana for the first time. Aspirants are encouraged to attend all 10 days, even though a day or two in the presence of this powerful sadhana helps one to re-consolidate their practice and strengthen their inspiration.
The program includes:
Time for personal sadhana
Pooja, havan (yoga and ecology)
Yoga sessions (asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha)
Yoga nidra of the Satyananda System of Yoga
The early bird offer is valid until Friday 18th September 2020.Afther that date there is a standard contribution.
