Maha Sivaratri 2021 – The convergence of Shiva and Shakti

Maha Sivaratri symbolizes the darkest night of the soul.

It is the night when Shiva, the cosmic consciousness, descends and unites with Shakti, the individual soul.

This divine union symbolises freedom from ignorance and the enlightenment that emerges from total darkness which is in store for each and everyone. This auspicious event will be celebrated with chanting, kirtan and havan, meditation, and symbolic burning of samskaras.

Swami Sivamurti Saraswati will give a satsang on this auspisious day, with the theme, the convergence of Shiva and Shakti.
